I am a certified Hypnofertility® consultant
In a study titled Impact of Hypnosis on IVF/ET Outcome (Levitas et al 2006) the authors concluded:
Collectively, and based on our data, we believe that the significant increase in the pregnancy and implantation rate in the hypnosis group patients is a result of this novel approach.
We can hypothesize that hypnosis relieves the sensation of stress and thereby reduces the uterine activity and improves the interaction between the embryo and the uterus while increasing the chances of embryo implantation. Based on our results, prospective and randomized studies may be helpful in confirming our findings.
